Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent two decades as an entrepreneur, building a successful business from the ground up. Although on the surface it looked like I was living 'the dream', on the inside I felt burnt out, unfulfilled, and wanting something more. It was through facing personal adversity that I realized I needed to redefine my path.
That realization led to a significant turning point: I sold my business, returned to school at 40, and found myself on a profound journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Along the way, I faced anxiety, depression, and the challenge of redefining myself, leading me to turn to therapy. Through therapy, I found a safe space to process my experiences and develop new skills. It became the foundation for the life I live today—a life that feels more aligned, balanced, and fulfilling.
This journey led me to become a psychotherapist, where I blend my personal experiences with my professional training to help others work through their own challenges.
For nearly a decade, I’ve worked in the mental health field as a private psychotherapist and group facilitator, leading programs for individuals struggling with addiction, anger issues, Partner Assault Response (PAR), and Diversity, Sensitivity, and Inclusion therapy. I also work with York Region as an Outreach Worker, supporting people suffering from homelessness.
I believe that tough times can happen to anyone, and this belief shapes my approach, which is grounded in empathic understanding and zero judgment. I am committed to creating a space where every client feels safe, heard, and valued. I strive to be a warm, insightful psychotherapist who truly cares about helping people heal and grow. My passion lies in supporting individuals as they reconnect with themselves and build more authentic, fulfilling lives.
